Hi guys, I want to carry out a clean install of iOS 12.0.1. What's the best way to do this?

* Download from 12.0.1 from IPSW.me and then carry out a full restore?

* Or is it possible to go straight to iTunes without downloading the IPSW from IPSW.me?

Thanks

Open iTunes, plug in the device and restore without using a backup.. You will have to shut off “find my iphone” before trying...
Thanks mate. How do.i select between ios 12.0.1 and 12.1? I want 12.0.1.

Ahhh, then I believe you need to go to ipsw.me and download 12.0.1 from there. I’m pretty sure iTunes only restores to the most recent version of iOS. After you download 12.0.1, go back to iTunes and hit restore while holding down the option key and you should see the 12.0.1 on he list

Thanks mate. I'll give it a try.

Also, ive saved the ios 12 blobs. How easy is it to update using blobs?

You don't need blobs at this point; 12.0.1 is still being signed by Apple.
Reason I ask is, I'm considering waiting to update as thought of not having a jb is horrifying!

So if I miss the signing window for 12.0.1, if the process of using the blobs is complex I'll update now. If th process is easy I'll wait till a jb is released.
