hi, i'm trying to install virtual pc 7, i did the first stage, says that you have to restart after installing the first stage, which is only like 700kb of stuff, then after i restart, nothing happens. at first, there was this security settings about startup items, but i fixed that too. during startup, only the mounted cd folder is shown, so i thought i should open the installer again, but that was to "upgrade" the existing few kbs of files.

i know on the second cd is the windows xp file, but how do i get the program to ibe installed??

plz help, thanks

VPC doesn't turn the whole mac into a PC, it just runs a window on the Mac that has a PC in it. When you start the VPC program up, you should see the area to add a new PC, at which point I'm guessing the Windows XP cd will come in handy. You just need to go to your Application Folder, and double click on the VPC to start it.

well that's the problem, it's not like i don't know how to use it, i'm using vmware worktation on my windows and linux machine, and use vpc 5 before

right now, the program is not installed, it's not in the applications folder. i know it doesn't make sense that the installer only installed that few hundred kbs of files, and i know there's is the post-reboot part of the installation that is supposed to carry on when the computer reboots. i just can't get to that part, cuz apparently some files are missing
