My wife has a 1.0.2 unlocked iPhone and I'd like to upgrade it to a 1.1.1 so that she'll have installer.app on it.
Am I correct to do the following (I already have the 1.1.1 download on my desktop):
1. With the phone connected to the computer, open iTunes and control click on the restore button to select the 1.1.1 package
2. Go through the back door (*#307#) to get Safari working on the phone
3. Install appsnapp on jailbreakme.com
Done
Do I need to upgrade to 1.1.1 though? Can I just go to www.jailbreakme.com on her phone and install appsnapp to get installer.app on the main page?
