MC is a model number, not a serial number.

What matters is 2G, 3G or 3GS and firmware and baseband and bootrom (new or old).

If you have a 3GS on 3.1.3, the only way you can jailbreak is to downgrade your phone to 3.1.2, since Apple eliminated the USB exploit that used to make jailbreaking possible on the 3GS. Unfortunately, since Apple has stopped signing the 3.1.2 firmware, you can only downgrade if you have saved your 3.1.2 SHSH either on Saurik's server through Cydia or locally using Umbrella. If you don't, then there is no way to jailbreak your phone.

Hi thelatinist,
Thanks for the info.

That mean step 1:
I have to downgrade from 3.1.3 to 3.1.2 because 3.1.3 is not yet able to be jailbreak for 3GS set.

Guide: http://www.ihackintosh.com/2010/02/downgrade-iphone-3gs-os-3-1-3-to-3-1-2-with-cydia-shsh/

step 2: Download any blackra1n, redsnow or snowbreeze jailbreak n update it.

That is all i need to do, right?

PS: In case anything goes not as planned, i can update back to original 3.1.3 by restoring from iTunes.

Yes to both questions. But this will only work provided that you were previously jailbroken and chose the "Make My Life Easier" option in Cydia.
