I have a stock iPhone 4 running 4.2.6 (Verizon) and wish to jailbreak it. iClarrified offers tutorials for 4.2.1 and then jumps to 4.3.3

Is there a safe way of jail breaking 4.2.6 without updating to 7.1.2?
Thanks!

Thanks for taking the time to provide those links.

I did search those before posing my question.
Jailbreakme.com sadly states when opened it doesn't support my iDevice.

Greenpois0n links for my iPhone won't load and are simply dead.

Jailbreakme.com did suggest on their website Redsn0w so now I will check that out.

My fault in that I hadn't suggested what I've already tried when I started this thread...

The Greenpois0n links are blown, but sometimes if you do a Google search for the filename itself…

Something in there's got to work for you if you want to use Greenpois0n. :D

Cool!
I attempted Redsn0w and although it acts like it's doing something it is a no go.
The good news is it didn't spin my iPhone into some cryptic boot that would just add more bad than good to this little adventure.

So, for the time being, I'm simply where I was before starting.
(And will check those LINKS our good friend eyoungren provided.)

No jailbreak worked yet I didn't lose any ability of keeping 4.2.6

No matter- I'll just keep this one stock and play around with the other jailbroken iDevices.
