I am using an iMac (10.6) and I want to have my playlist going until I decide to shut down.
I went to energy saver and to schedule. I set it for NEVER and it still goes to sleep in about 15-20 minutes.
No one, so far, has been able to to help me. I even took my Mac to the shop and left it there for 3 days. I assumed, when I picked it up, that the problem was solved.
It still doesn't do what I want.

I think you're making the right settings from what you write.

Usually people have the opposite problem, a Mac won't go to sleep when they want it to.

I've heard of an app called Caffeine; it's supposed to keep your Mac awake all the time, but I've never needed it so I've not looked into it more.

I don't know whats wrong with your imac. I can tell you that Caffeine will stop your computer from going to sleep.

...and once you can keep it awake the whole time, iTunes will happily play until the end of time.
