When you select a Playlist to make available off line how do you know when it has finished downloaded all the songs? With Beats each song got a red dot in the top right of each song as it downloaded and it would say ‘Downloading 15 of 25” so you would know when they were all downloaded.

I see the little iPhone icon appears in the upper right but what about each song in the list. They have a spot for this and if you download individually it appears but not in a Playlist download. How do you know when all the songs have completed the download so it is ‘safe’ to leave the WiFi spot?

When I download a playlist on my iPhone it starts with Downloading XX songs below the top header when it has Library/Playlists. And as they are downloading if you click that area it will open into the downloading screen showing status of each.

And as a last but not least approach, you can go to General Settings Usage Manage Storage Music and confirm the tracks are truly offline.

Don't understand what you are seeing. I just hit Download on this Playlist and this is what I see. What do you mean "it starts with Downloading XX songs below the top header when it has Library/Playlists"? Can you post a screen shot or tell me of where to click.

Go back one screen to the playlist listings. Click the red ... and select Make Available Offline. Then you will see what I am talking about.

On Playlist 03 I just hit "Make Available Off Line" and don't see anything. This pic was taken about 1 second after.

For me it appears almost right away so it's not an indicator of download progress. I don't understand why Apple just din't use Beats method. The red dot Beats uses is so much easer to see and Beats puts one on each song as it's downloaded as well at a red flag on the Playlist.

Apple hopefully will improve the interface. I for one want a dedicated screen for all downloads and playlist indicators.
