I have an iPhone 14 Pro Max, and I opened several tabs of web pages on my phone to read before leaving on a flight so I could read them when there was no available internet, and as soon as I opened the pages on the flight without internet each page went blank because I’m presuming it tried to refresh it without internet so I lost the content of the page. How can I just keep a page open without it trying to refresh so I can read it during the flight?

Thanks

Even on the latest iPhone (6GB ram) with the latest iOS and connected to the internet, very often I’ll have a page in safari open half filled out, if I put the phone to sleep by tapping the power button and then come back 20 minutes later, the page will have to reload losing all my info. That’s just the way iOS is designed - with a very aggressive memory reclamation approach. In comparison you can have a windows 7 laptop with 4GB ram and 20 tabs open and it will keep them all open when you return from suspend.

Open the Settings app on your iPhone. Scroll down and tap on "Safari." In the Safari settings, look for the "Auto-Refresh" option.Toggle the switch to turn off auto-refresh. Put it in airplane mode and see if it works. Though some web pages reload on their own independent of the app browser on the phone.

Hello, can you please share a screenshot? I do not see the option you mentioned in the iPhone settings? Maybe you have mixed up with the Mac settings? Thanks
