This is not the first time i want to left Apple cause everytime i faced this trouble.
Apple ecosystem between phone, tablet, clock and pc makes you impossible to step on Android, and continuity copy and paste or sms auto completion on pc browser are a good value for a professional user.

Now i’m retrying to step away from Apple with a Galaxy S10 plus.
I want to migrate my passwords from icloud keychain to another “software” which should be a free one, self hosted or hosted but secure.
Autocomplete feature should be there, from both Android and Mac. I still didn’t understand if SmartSwitch (Samsung migration software) is taking care about this.

I have more than 500 passwords, already in a csv file (there is a complex way to do that, i will write the procedure later, from my pc).
I have tried passwords.google.com but there isn’t a way to import passwords and even modifying csv file in chrome format, chrome is refusing that file and doesn’t allow autofill for http pages.

I’m tired to spend 1450 euros for upgrading mobile everytime, apart of tremendous cost of accessories and i want to escape a little from apple ecosystem, at least for my phone.

Has anyone the same trouble as me?
Is there an affordable way to accomplish that?

I have the sensation that also this time i will fail and can’t accomplish this step to go away from apple.

I don’t know. I know Samsung have Samsung pass but I don’t know if there is a way of migrating them all across in one go rather than doing each one manually, one at a time. I also have generated 100’s of passwords saved in iCloud Keychain and the thought of having to manually copy them over to another system sounds like too much work for me.

I don’t like this way, cause Apple use it to maintain customers blocked with them.
I’m seeing myself returning my s10+ and going for a new Apple watch.

Yes. But if you complain about the price then this are your options:
Pay premium for apples sensation.
Buy 1password and s10+ and still save $400 per year.
Or do it manually. I mean for a few hundred dollars you could invest a few hours:)

But in the end it probably is the bigger question if you like samsungs OS

Google and Samsung provide this function for free.

Just take one time pain and migrate data out of apple and you are free for life.

Yes, but the sensation of value is totally different
Soooo you're saying a watch is more valuable then the passwords to your life? I brake my Apple Watch, I buy a new one. My banking password (or other important accounts) gets hacked, not as easy to fix.

His passwords are already secure in icloud keychain.

That is 100% useless on a Galaxy S10 plus

He was complaining about not being able to transfer them across to another password manger unless he does each one manually. If he stays in the Apple ecosystem and gets an Apple Watch his passwords will still be secure in iCloud Keychain.

Simple process in LastPass to import from csv file. To me, other than keychain, using a free password manager is like using a free VPN. You are the product monetizing focus.

Already refused S10+ . Going into a Xs Max and new apple watch. No alternatives.
I don’t understand your logic. The alternative is to do it manually or spend 1pw $50/y versus $400.

If you say u get more satisfied by a new apple watch it doesn’t have to do anything with the topic...

no one of listed solution are secure and even easy to import from icloud keychain.

I have tried everything and now seems still everything in beta, too much steps to put a password, nothing easy like Apple ecosystem

KeePass is your answer. You need to learn how to use it, but once you do, it works.

And the saying "if the software is free, you are the product" does not apply here, this is all open source. No one is profiting on this.
