Feeling really stupid, but I simply do not find the solution...!

16" MBP M2 with the Spanish (Latin America) keyboard layout, also using the Magic Keyboard with Touch ID and Numeric Keypad with the Spanish (Latin America) keyboard layout.

No backslash key on the keyboards. As of my understanding, Mac does not have that on its keyboards in general. The work around: Alt+Shift+7.

The only problem... this doesn´t work for me, no matter what I try. What do I miss in here?

Grateful for any suggestion!

Did you try Command + Option + 6?

You can also check the modifier keys available to your layout with the Keyboard Viewer:

Try option-' (that's the key two to the left of the delete key).
That´s it! Thank you so much!!!

With a smile in my face... not really the Alt-Shift-7 combination, but "close"... considering the dimensions of a keyboard! 😂

Again, thank you all so much, highly appreciated that you took the time to answer such a banal question!

Hmm, sorry... but that´s not the Spanish (Latin America) keyboard layout, at least it´s different than the one I have.

This is the layout I have (screen shot taken from System Settings):

You're welcome. I don't use that layout, but I found it using the keyboard viewer, as suggested by others. Here is how to get it:

Again, thank you so much.

The keyboard viewer feature really helps. To be honest, I didn´t know that feature, and I am sure there is still a lot more what I do not know on a Mac. Lifelong learning...! 🤓
