So im getting my new mbp 15'' higher end in couple days...and want to check that it doesnt have any problems right in the store!!!
what are things i have to check and how to make sure that the machine has no problems...im a switcher so be patient please >_<

To have fun with it and don't be like a lot of these people who inspect their computer every time they turn it on and keep saying to them self over and over if this is ok, should i send it back, my computer is getting hot.

JUST ENJOY YOUR COMPUTER! If there is a problem it will come to you. Don't spend your whole time looking for problems.

well you guys are right, but still...if i come home open it and find problems i would be mad and drive back to the store directley...and i do have bad experience with broken laptops >_> ....so is it ok if i open it in the store to check if it has the yellow tent or buzzes while changing the brightness(common problems)..would it take much time?!

To do a test that extensive would probably be better to do it at home. The staff in store might get a bit annoyed to say the least, haha. Although as I've read in the forums, you'd have to buy the machine first before you could open the box anyway.

well i would pay for it then open the box in the store..wont that work huh?! XD
maybe i can just check the keyboard and yellow tint thing in the store..and rest at home..so if anything wrong in those stuff i can just replace it in a min >_>

I'm not sure, I haven't seen the tint for myself. You know the difference between the banding on the lower 3rd and the tint on the viewing angle right? If you can't see any tint/banding looking straight on, then there's no problem.

I didn't notice my yellow screen until coming here and reading about it. Luckily I had no issues I could actually spot on my own. The yellow didn't really bother me (I used to work as a photo processing tech and actually preferred my photos with a little extra yellow, so it looks almost good to me) until I noticed that after opening my comp from sleep it would show the screen for a moment without the yellow tint, and a second later the regular screen color was back. I started noticing that I thought it looked better before the yellow washed over it. Plus, you never really notice yellow until you see it change from not yellow to yellow. However, I did made a custom profile with the extra options (five different screens with bars you move until the apple blends in to the background) and it looks amazing now. My yellow problem was not at all hardware related and resolved with a simple change of color profile.

I was seriously about to make the EXACT. same post as you. Good thing I did a little reading beforehand. Haha. I just have one more question about the yellow tint issue. Is the tint noticeable right out of the box...or does it occur once the screen is calibrated? There seems to be some confusion about this in the forums.
