How do you make up renders and or images from iPhone rumors. (The physical device hasn't been launch by Apple yet so how do people make up renders and/or images about what the future iPhones and future devices will look like.)

Grab Blender, make a torus, stretch the vertices around until it makes a roughly-rectangular form, fill in the gap, texture it. Woo.

And of course,to make a "future device image" you could just use some old thing like the iPhone 3G,Nokia n95,and some photoshop skills.

A combination of skill sets. How do you make a movie. How do you write a book. The above image looks like pure illustrator, but some images are Vray renders most are photoshop. Plenty of leaked cad data out there to work over.

I second the Blender option. A little talent and a ton of effort will get you anything.

I think you need some 3D/CAD skills? You can make a render using Solidworks, Rhino, 3Dmax and such programs.
