Not sure if any of the longer threads address this, and didn't find an answer on Apple's site, so I figured I'd start one. I'm interested in getting the Apple One premium bundle basically as a way of adding TV/Fitness/Arcade to my service lineup. Thing is, I already have a Music subscription that's paid through January 2021, News, and 2TB of storage. My questions are-

Will subscribing to Apple One cancel/roll-in my existing subscriptions, or do I need to individually cancel them?

Will my Apple One be discounted to prorate for my existing 3 months left of Music?

Based on user experiences in the other related threads, you'll get a refund for any paid subscriptions and you won't need to cancel them individually. Some of the later member comments in this MR news discussion seem to mention the same scenario you're asking about. So no Apple One discount/proration; just a prorated refund to your existing paid sub.

So should I expect a prorated refund on my Apple Music family plan?

Subscribed to Apple One last night. A couple of hours later had a credit note from Apple Music to show I am being refunded a grand total of £0.97. Apple Music no longer shows up in my subscriptions. Seems that one has now moved completely to Apple One. My Apple News subscription still shows up but states it will be included in Apple One from 30th Nov. Apple TV and Apple Arcade still show as individual subscriptions but I was still on the trial period for those two. Again these two state they will be included in Apple One from 30th Nov. Finally my iCloud storage plan has dropped from the list of subscriptions too but no credit note seen for that one.

We saw the same thing above re "included in Apple One [on renewal date]".
I'll give them the benefit of the doubt - this was a huge QA effort, not a technical one.

I cancelled my apple music thinking it might renew.

A few days later It said I did not have an active apple music sub, despite having apple one plan on a 1 month free trial.

I had to resubscribe to AM.

Seems a bit confusing.

I went family, and it stated I needed to change my icloud storage to my subscription account (I have split accounts). That gave me a refund of a months iCloud Storage.
Its worked ok. I'm really enjoying butter royale on Arcade, something we didnt have with the family applemusic and iCloud Storage services we had before.

The website says:

One month free. Any services you haven’t already tried are free for the first month.*

and the fine print says:

* The Apple One free trial includes only services that you are not currently using through a free trial or a subscription. Plan automatically renews after trial until cancelled. Restrictions and other terms apply.

So, if you ever used the free trial of any of the services included in Apple One, you don't get another free trial of that service, either as a stand-alone service or as part of a bundle.

Wife and I just got hit by this fine print. We were Apple Music family plan subscribers, and cancelled Apple Music before subscribing to Apple One. As of this morning, we no longer have access to Apple Music, though the other Apple One services are working fine. Can you opt out of the free trial period, or do we need to resubscribe to Apple Music until the free month is over for Apple One?

I just re-subscribed to apple music sub, I presume once the apple one trial is up, apple one will consume the apple music sub into it.

Monthly subs will end on the expiration date and roll into One. Annuals will be canceled immediately, rolled into One, and refunded. From what I've read they refund the entire annual price; although, I wonder if that's a bug.

If your current cloud is less than what One gives, it is canceled immediately
If you current cloud is equal to what One gives, it is canceled on the expiration date
If you current cloud is more than what One gives, it is kept until you cancel it

Has anyone successfully become one of the 400gb iCloud storage crowd?
We paid for Apple Music family and 2TB storage before Apple One totalling £22 a month.
As our storage was currently at 277gb, we decided to sign up to Apple One and downgrade the iCloud to the 200gb + 200gb option.
When trying to downgrade to 200gb from 2tb. however I get told we use more than "200gb" so can't downgrade. But we had the new 200gb from the family Apple One feature.
Frustrating. An email to Apple support had gone unanswered in 3 days.
