This is for the folks that don't know about safe mode or might not know the steps on how you can get into safe mode and boot your iphone when something goes wrong and it wont start up.
Very useful to know these steps since very soon Apple will release iOS 8.1.1 that will block the current Pangu JB.
In case you have a problem with a faulty cydia package do not panic and do not plug your iphone to itunes and restore it. You will be stuck on the latest non-jailbreakable iOS version.
Also helpful even now to avoid the whole restore, rejailbreak, sync all your stuff back long process.
If you haven't installed Cydia's Substrate Safe Mode (which you should definitely do right away) you may find yourself with a tweak that constantly crashes or puts you in a boot loop or your phone wont boot up at all without getting stuck at the Apple logo. Here is how you can manually enter safe mode:
Power on by holding down the top button or hold both home and power buttons down together till the phone restarts.
As soon as the Apple icon appears, hold down the volume up button. Keep holding it down until phone has fully booted on.
At this point you will be in safe mode and you can go to Cydia and remove the offending package. Note: All Cydia packages should be inactive at this point, though I saw some that continue to load anyway.
The next time you reboot without holding down the volume up button, you will be out of safe mode and your Cydia packages along with everything else will load fine.
