Hello,

Photo is not at all my photography main app but it comes handy at importing off of the iPhone, I just figured it out that on my backup MacBookAir I have two Photo libraries and was trying to find out how to merge them in a single one as to save space (there probably are doubles) and to create less confusion.

Any hint?

thank you

There is no native way to merge them. There are third party apps ($$) like this one that will merge for you.

What you can do is export the photos from one library, then import those photos to the second library. But that will lose and albums or events you setup already.

I like your Flickr account though.
Just took a gander myself... there is some great work on there to be sure.

There is something of a merger technique, using iCloud Photo Library. One can add the first library to iCloud Photo Library, then turn off the library feature on the Mac. Then, you can open the second library in Photos, and add it to iCloud. Afterwards, one could again turn off iCloud Photo Library. See https://support.apple.com/kb/PH21363

...When you turn on iCloud Photo Library after designating a new System Photo Library, the photos stored in iCloud are merged with those in the new System Photo Library. Once the content from the new System Photo Library is uploaded to iCloud, the libraries cannot be unmerged, so it’s a good idea to consider carefully before changing your System Photo Library.

No idea. Photos is ****. I like your Flickr account though. ;)

Ahah, right, Photo is not the best but it comes for free and does what it should with the iDevices pictures, luckily I don't have my archive there...

Thank you for your appreciation

Ouch, complicated...

On my main computer I have Photo handling 3 archives which used to belong to iPhoto (...), tough life for pictures with OS X
