So AIM came out with their new version of their free AIM software on the app store. Well I don't want it. I do want the stupid badge on the app store telling me I have an update to go away though.

Anyone know how I can move my App into the /Applications directory with my other Jailbroken apps and have it run? Then I can remove it from my Apps and use the old version with no hassle.

Thanks!

Have you already tried: rn <source> <destination>?

rn? What does that command do? I thought that's a news reader.

The app from the app store is in a big folder with a bunch of other resources. All the jailbroken apps are nice little bundles. So I was wondering if there is anything I need to do about it.

rn is short for rename. You are using SSH or Mobile Terminal right?

Yea, but the Appstore version is some hashed folder name and then in there is the .app

So do I just rename the hashed folder to AIM.app and it works?

Unfortunately I have no idea, sorry. You'll have to test and see. :) Let us know what you find!
