How to move iCloud Drive folder to external HDD??

Hi there..

I wish to move my iCloud Drive folder to my external HDD. My mac shipped with 256 gb storage and that is just not enough space for my pictures and videos.
I really hope you guys have a solution for me otherwise I may have to go back using Dropbox.

Any suggestions?

Currently not possible.

Well, someone could try creating a symbolic link for the library/mobile documents folder. I don't know if that works but it's worth the try.
