Got a corporate att iPhone 8. Need to move all old messages from older ATT personal account iPhone 6 to the new corporate ATT iPhone 8. The Cloud moved all contacts, emails were moved, all except the messages. We still have the old iPhone 6 with the messages. ATT cellular says their corporate ATT service does not offer two factor authentication. When I try to turn on messages on the iCloud slide it gives me that error message.

Maybe a workaround to move those messages without the Cloud. Maybe with iTunes?

Is there an App? I saw some old Apps that don't seem to work.

We spoke with ATT Cellular Corporate support directly and they said they do not allow.

ATT Corporate proposed taking screenshots of the messages in the iPhone 6 and forwading the screenshots to the new iPhone 8.

So now the question is other ways to do it.

I called Apple and they said do it through a backup of the iPhone 6 to iTunes and then a restore to the 8.

If you company issued you a phone they have the right to decide what it has on it. Screen shots of messages would be rather harmless. Not sure, but betting that your corporate phone would not import your messages of you try to use a backup from iTunes. Likely it would not allow you to even use iTunes. The phone is locked down to what AT&T Corp will allow.

You might need to carry two phones.

Except for Messages, everything else came in, Contacts, Music, Calendar, Favorites, Notes, Mail. Messages was the only one that did not Sync.

We are a Miami Florida husband wife team buying from ATT corporate cellular. She got a Gold 8Plus Corporate to replace her 6 Plus Personal (she kept her personal cell line number, I transferred the SIM card), I got a black 8Plus Corporate (on the buy one get one free) as a second line that my main ATT corporate landline hunts to, and my real phone is a Silver 10S Max personal ATT with an Apple Watch cell.

That hunt took three 2 hour calls to set up and purchase, including a conference call with ATT Business Landlines AND an ATT Corporate Cellular departments.

Also we use 4 iPad Pros (one per toilet with music stands for reading), a new 4K iMac and for the wife an 11 year old iMac, and a first gen iPad.

Everything works. I love my fast Apple charger for the Pros and the phones.

The ATT representative did say that Messages is the one thing they have not worked out. She proposed taking screenshots of the old messages in her 6Plus and sending them to her gold 8Plus corporate. Apple proposed to sync with iTunes. Have not tried that yet.

I saw some Apps that mentioned transferring information, even one for Messages specifically, but it looks like it stopped to be kept up to date years ago.

She is getting her new Messages since the 8Plus came in. So she already has 2 days of new messages. There are some 100 Messages to still transfer from the old 6Plus.
