I have a very large file that is taking up all the room on my other devices (MacBook Air and iPhone). I would like the bookmark folder to be only accessible from my iMac, so that it does not take up all the room on my MacBook air and iPhone. How do I do that?

You could make a new folder in your users folder to keep the file in. That would get it out of the iCloud Drive folder that is being synched, but it would still be available locally on your iMac.

Just open Terminal and run this command substituting whatever you want inside the quotes for the folder name.

Code:
mkdir ~/"folder name"

Thanks for the quick reply. I don't understand how to do that, so I just deleted my iMac from the iCloud backup. I may regret that decision at some point..hope not. Kristi
