How to open a folder in new finder window? (SL))

Im running Snow Leopard. If Im at the finder, how do I open a folder in a new finder window, in order to have two diferent finder windows open?

Hold down the cmd key when double clicking the Folder.

Or, if that's always what you want, change it in Finder preferences. Then you won't need to hold down a key.
