hi all,

I am working in MAC machine (Version 10.4.7)

I want to open a specified word document using carbon c?

How can i do this?

Are you trying to open the document with a given path, or a path chosen by the user? If so, you could check out any of the LSOpenXXX() functions provided by Launch Services.

Do you mean a Microsoft Word document? If so you need to know the file format and then parse the file to get the proper data back. I'm not sure if Microsoft make the file format public or not, you could always look at the NeoOffice source code I guess for details.
