Quick question, I removed my DVD drive in my MBP in favor of the mixed HDD/SSD drive setup. I have a disk image from a DVD that I want to play in the dvd player app, but it won't open without giving me an error saying there is no DVD drive present.

Is there a way to fix this or bypass this problem?

Nowhere
Two things:

1. Mount it via Disk Utility (or double clicking usually mounts it by default). Your .iso image and use DVD Player.

2. Use VLC (Free) to play it. Just drag and drop the image on top of it and it will play.

VLC worked great dragging the .img file into the application. Thanks
