I'm selling my iPad 3g on ebay for various reasons. I have activated 3g on the device, but my question is regarding the SIM. Do I have to do anything with the SIM before handing it off? Is my CC or personal data on there? Normally for selling an iPhone I would remove the SIM. Is this necessary on the iPad? Thanks.

Do NOT include the SIM if it has been activated. It has your personal info on it. Your choice is either to advertise it as "no sim included," and the new owner can get his own, which they will have to do anyway if the buyer is not in the US, or you can go to ATT and buy a fresh SIM for $15.

I don't have a 3G but if you have to subscribe every month then you should be fine to give the sim card. Plus I think it's the sim that has unlimited data tied to it I may be wrong tho

Thanks for the heads up!
