How to prioritize which device the AirPods connect to?

I have many Macs, iPads, AppleTVs, etc. How do I prioritize which devices the AirPods connect to, or change the one it connects to by default?

It knows by your activity which device you are using and connects (or stays connected) to that one.

so no list that you can drag to prioritize, like you can do with WiFi networks on Mac OS?
