Hi! I want to procted pictures or the iphoto itself with a password so certain persons can't see my pictures. I know i can hide them, but is there any way to protect them any further? That way anyone who acesses my computer can't have them and i don't want to.

How about creating a different user account for the other people? That way, they can't see your iPhotos or any other documents. File Vault would make this more secure as it encrypts your personal folders.
 
You can turn on FileVault from System Preferences -> Security or create an encrypted disk image with Disk Utility and transfer your photos there
