Hello,

Its been a while since I have installed Warcraft 3 again... And I have been experiencing problems while quitting. When I attempt to quit, the whole game locks up, and in order to fully quit completely, I need to unplug my imac from the wall... Some people have told me to watch a replay, and then see what happens. How do you watch replays? (I am a noob with this kind of thing)

Thanks.

Other ideas welcome also.

Quit WCIII oh thats easy just start playing WoW =p

Try quitting with the game in windowed mode and see if the same thing happens.

Still happens.

Heh, I actually quit WoW to play WC3 ;)

Force quitting does not work.

I am using OSX 10.5 (I might be wrong) Its not leopard, but its the one that came on my aluminum imac. And, I am playing Warcraft 3 Reign of Chaos, and Warcraft 3 the frozen throne.

Force quitting does not work.

Try holding cmd-opt-esc until the Force Quit dialog comes up, or pressing that key combo repeatedly until it does - isn't always instant.

And never, ever, ever unplug your computer from the wall while it's still turned on. Back in the beige Mac days, I know someone who blew up at least one machine doing that; I assume new Macs would be no different. Instead, hold the power button until it shuts down, if it comes to that.

Also, if you do have 10.5, search the threads here, there are (I believe) several comments about problems with WC3.

You want to hold down the power button to shut down.

You want to open Disk Utility and repair permissions.

You want to perform system update and update the game.

Do not unplug a computer from the power source unless it's absolutely necessary.
