How to rate a song in iTunes? WTH??

With the latest itunes in apple music, they have hidden the rating so much you can't really access it anymore wth??

The only way I could rate a song is if I go to "get info" and rate it there. And yes I have made sure that the song is already added to my library, it didn't make a difference. I see the heart icon but I need ratings.

I don't know much about Apple Music.

In iTunes Preferences, there is a field "Ratings:" that can be one of a) Stars, b) Loves or c) Stars & Loves

Have you made sure its one of a) or c) ?

NB - the Info panel seems to ignore this preference, e.g. I have mine set to stats but it also shows the heart
