Hi all.

I want to record myself while I djing and save footage straight to my PC. Obviously I do not want to spend too much money on external devices.

Any advices much appreciated.

On a Mac you can do this, which is actually recording the iOS device's screen. The trick would be to find an app that presents a view of the camera without showing any controls (buttons etc).

iCloud Photos is how you do this.

Depending on how much iCloud storage space you need, it’s free (5G), 99¢ A month (50G), $2.99 a month (200G) or $9.99 month (2T). The 200G and 2T plans can be shared.

You can get by with free if you delete photos and videos from iCloud and your iPhone after downloading to your PC. I did this for a long time. Then my wife and daughter needed more space so I now pay the $2.99 for 200GB since I can share the capacity with my family.
