when 8 take an image with my X and try to post it in these, and other, forums, the images is always to be to be posted. Without using another app to save at a lower resolution, how does one post an image right out of the iPhone?

You cant. There is a 2.5mb size limit in here so you have to reduce it down I am Afraid
From r better resolution, we typically post theimage to flickr then link to it from here usong the BBCode link construct available from the share button in non-mobile browser version of flickr
