When I am on the phone and a friend is trying to give me a # and I want the phone to remember the # so I can put it into my contacts after I hang up the hone with my friend... how can I do that? I tried clicking on keypad and enter the # there but after I hung up the phone the # would disappear...

Press the home button (this will not hang up the call) and use Email, Notes, whatever is best for you. :)

Hit home button, the call should still be going on, then contacts and add contact, or just add info in a note. When you're done, hit home, save the note/contact, then hit home, or tap at the top of the screen where it says return to call.

cool guys, I didn't know pressing the home button will not hangup the phone

I always have a pen with me so I end up writing things down on anything I have close to me. But using notes is a good idea, never thought of that. Silly really.

Oh and I wish we could have Facebook style of liking posts. Some comments are too good here :D

As already said, you can access your contacts (and add new contacts or information) through the Contacts app during a call.

The only problem with using Notes is that you can't send it to the Contacts app from there, it's just stuck in Notes. I thought I remembered seeing something about that changing in 3.0 but I don't remember.

good point. you still have to remember the # from notes to contact

Can't you click the contacts button next to the keypad and add the number from there? You can on 3.0, I don't remember if it was the same on 2.2.1.

Anyway on 3.0 you can click on a number that you write in notes and have the option to call it, create or add to contacts and text.

Have it Text SMS to you.

I wish there was a way to record the coversation. Someone should make an app for JB iPhone.

Yeah, that feature has been around for a while. That would be the easiest method in my opinion.
