how to remove 7000 favorite photos from phone?

Is there a simple way to mass remove favorite photos from the phone? Note that i do not want to delete the photos, just de-favorite the photos.

Nope, no option, sorry.

There is a way if you use iCloud photos. Go to iCloud photos on the web and click on the Favorites tab. Select all, then click on the heart. It'll remove them (it doesn't prompt you or confirm, so make sure you're selecting what you want. I just learned the hard way) Confirmed this worked by trying it myself - removed lots of favorites in bulk.

Have you looked at iMazing ?

iMazing is perfect for import/export/delete, but it can't tag/untag photos.
