How to Remove Large "Screen Mirroring" Button from Menu Bar

A few weeks ago, this gigantic "Screen Mirroring" button appeared at the top of my screen on the menu bar. How do I remove this?

Hold the command key and drag it off of the menu bar?

Or maybe you just want to shrink it to normal size? I don't know how it got that size in the first place.

Screen Mirroring also exists in the Control Center menu. You can drag it from there back to the menu bar.

That looks like an anomaly. Log out and back in. I bet it will be gone.
