Hi. I am able to login to all the Macs in my house with Apple Remote Desktop, except for one. For some reason a 2020 MacBook Air is not letting me login unless I turn OFF the Firewall. Puzzling since the correct apps are allowed per below screenshot. The only solution I can conjure is to reset the Firewall settings to default. Anybody know how to do that or have another idea?

Firewall settings are saved in /Library/Preferences/com.apple.alf.plist
You can turn off the Firewall, close System Preferences, delete the file (com.apple.alf.plist) and turn the Firewall back on.

From Terminal, Firewall can be managed with /usr/libexec/ApplicationFirewall/socketfilterfw
Examples
/usr/libexec/ApplicationFirewall/socketfilterfw --getglobalstate
/usr/libexec/ApplicationFirewall/socketfilterfw --listapps
/usr/libexec/ApplicationFirewall/socketfilterfw --help

Thank you bogdanw. I deleted the pref file and rebooted but still can't remote into the Mac when Firewall is turned on. Any troubleshooting advice is welcome.

Have you tried toggling Remote Management sharing off and on? And, since I'm superstitious, reboot between the two.

Years ago I used to get incorrect entries in the allowed applications section of the firewall panel.
