Good write up. I'm going with the internal PSU setup so I can power 2 GPUs, preferably 2x Sonic Platinum 570s with the PSU. Have enough for 2x 6pins and 2x 8pins plus the 2x 6pins from the mobo.

Just need the time so I can sleeve and make custom length cables. Have everything I need sitting on my desk :(

Awesome! Sounds like a beast of a setup. The problem a lot of Mac Pro owners are having (especially with later generations) is running the cables through the case--there is simply not enough room. Are you going to modify the case or try to string it through the front left "cable hole" ?

Also: Pics please :)

Maybe I should start my own thread and update as I go along but I've been remolding my house so I haven't had much time to tinker around.

Got a little bit done. Ordered and recieved the SATA Power > Molex power adapter so I can finally power my aux PSU via the Mac Pro and not another external PSU. LOL. Going to make custom cables and sleeve them.

Here's some pictures of the "progress".

Definitely make your own thread! I look forward to seeing the end product
