Im new to mac sorry if its a dumb question, but first i wanna say i will never go back to a pc, i cant believe i was stuck with windows for so long! I bought the wireless mouse from apple but it doesnt have the right click button so how do I right click on stuff is their a key I can press? if not can i assign a key to do right click? thanks. oh I have a macbook pro.

I'd like to add that, as a fellow switcher, I thought I'd never get used to ctrl-clicking, but to my surprise, it's been a quick and easy adjustment. Although, I still have and use my might mouse most of the time since my MBP is primarily a desktop right now.

you end up right clicking maybe ~5% of all the clicks you ever do. That why they never really needed a right mouse button.
Why need 1 extra button that your only gonna use 5% of the time.

I dont the right mouse button much but i do use it for nomal day to day use. I play games and its nearly impossible to play onw without a right mouse button.

The thing I missed most when I started using back a couple of years back was there was no scroll button! Which they seem to have addressed with their new mouse which is good. Also with the two finger scroll on the ibook, MBP and powerbook, thats one excellent feature!

But like people have said the Mac interface has been built well for one button...not that I use a one button mouse :) whatever anyone says I still think two is better then one!

It may seem like a pain at first to Control+click, but every so often, when my Apple Wireless mouse runs out of batteries, I'll have to switch to a spare two button PC mouse, and I often find myself foolishly control+clicking with a two button mouse! It just becomes second nature.

Your missing out then! There are so many good things that can be added to the contextual menu on a right click, especially when using safari+acid search and there is also fruit menu.

There is a great program called one finger snap. It will bring up a right click if you hold the left click down long enough. It will set you back a mere $6.85.

When I use windows, I sometimes find myself doing that too! Lol

Depending on when you bought your Mouse you can return it if you do not want to live with using the Ctrl key function to right click and get another mouse. I did this and got the Mighty Mouse which i like using better as i can right click with the Mouse. There are plently other Mouses that you can buy as well.
