I have been searching the function in preview to rotate a picture arbitrary degrees (5 or 10) but can only find the option to rotate full 90 or 180 degrees. If this is not possible in preview, is there any other already installed program on Catalina that can do so?

Thank you for your help.

Photos will rotate your images for you in varying degrees other than the 90 and 180 you mention.

Try importing a single image and click the Edit button on the top right in the application toolbar and then next click the Crop button. In there a wheel sort of thing occours that you can then swivel and rotate your image while also cropping it a bit, but I'm sure there's more options to be found within Photos. Once you get Photos open I imagine that you can explore more on your own.

I am certain, although not 100% certain that you can make an Automator action handle rotating images free out of the restrictions of 90 degrees etc. And just 10 degrees. I haven't done that much to explore those options, but Automator is also installed with macOS Catalina.

You can of course also ask again 😄

It worked perfectly with your instruction, thank you. :) Automator sounds fancy, but unfortunately I am way too bad with computers to try anything like that.
