I recieved my new macbook pro (m1). So far its looking good. Tried to run the Homebrew package, and i get that its not ready for arm and i should run it under rosetta 2. How exactly... I thought the rosetta kind of did its own thing when apps not compatable with the arm code is presented? do i need to do something special to run something under rosetta?

Thanks,

If an app tries to run x86 code, you get a prompt to install Rosetta. Once it is installed you no longer get the prompt. That was my experience.

According to https://doesitarm.com/app/homebrew/ it’s supposed to run under Rosetta 2 but needs some extra troubleshooting. Unfortunately it’s not mentioned what that would be.

yeah, thats the issue. It says run under rosetta 2, but doesn't tell you how to do so. I see this is gonna be a headache to get use to.

Yes this seems to do the trick, using this tutorial I've been able to install brew and install tmux.
