Then right click, choose new folder, name the folder, then you can move emails from your inbox to that folder.

You can make as many as you like with different names. As long as you move the mail you wish to keep from the inbox into one of these named folders, they will be saved on your mac.

Hmmm I've been told you can't create e mail folders on the iphone if using a pop style account !

I'm sure that's what the op is asking to do on their iPhone !

They never stated that they were using an iPhone. This is a iOS 5 forum and the system runs on multiple devices.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_0 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.1 Mobile/9A334 Safari/7534.48.3)

Doesn't matter what device it is. There's no folder support for POP accounts. POP accounts don't sync.

Sorry guys -- i have an iphone 4 and there is no edit button in Mailboxes screen
I want to get to some important info in an received email without scrolling through all the emails and i thought perhaps it could be moved to a folder for quick referencing. Thanks for your replies and i hope that I`m presenting this correctly.
