I am still trying to fathom iCloud. Yesterday I read about saving mail to iCloud, and don't think I am doing that. When I go to iCloud.com, there is nothing there about mail. As a bit of background, I have two mail accounts active that go into my Mac and my iPhone (which are synched). Neither of these accounts are Apple Mail. I am beginning to get the impression that to be able to save mail, I may have to have an Apple mail account, but if I do I don't know if that means my other accounts would also go to iCloud. What I want to do is to save some correspondence that I deem as important for my records. What I don't necessarily want to do is overwhelm iCloud with everything. I must also admit that my understanding of iCloud.com is sketchy, and limited to what I can find on YouTube (which is not much when it comes to saving email). Direction towards help much appreciated!

Yes for iCloud to store emails it would have to be a iCloud email address. Any other email types such as Gmail, Yahoo would not go into your iCloud account.

Ah!! Thanks a bunch! That certainly clarifies that! Guess my next question must be where/how to save the non-Apple mail stuff. Hmmm?
