MobileMe is turning one this year, and Apple will probably make some changes to the service. What do you see happening (besides "Find my iPhone")

Personally I think that if they implement some of the voice features that Google is working on subscription numbers would skyrocket. Thoughts?

What I think they should do is stop charging for the service but start charging for the storage. That way it's not like this extra outlay but everyone can use it and if they like it i am sure they will pay for more storage.

For example:

Free Account: 1GB or 2GB
$50/Year: 10GB
$100/Year: 20GB

What I'd most want to see is for Apple to give us the choice to use either username@mac.com or username@me.com for ALL usernames regardless of whether the name was registered before or after MobileMe started.

Bring back the ability to use .mac !!!

I think that's a fantastic idea!
There should be a free service, with one e-mail account and a certain amount of disk space for email, calendar syncs, etc.

Then charge for the MobileMe storage and extra e-mail addresses.

Those are all pretty good ideas, but I get the feeling that Apple doesn't really care what the MM numbers are.

Apple has been pretty fixed on not low-balling prices to sell things.

Remember: 100,000 subs @ $100 is better than 1,000,000 for $0! In their minds, I'm sure they'd be more than happy to let Google have the "freebie" folks.

I'd be willing to bet that the price won't be changing anytime soon. They'd much rather add incremental features than drop the price.
