Four years of iOS, and I still haven't figured out out how to do this: after editing a photo (say, cropping it to highlight a detail); and saving the new image, which removes the original from the Camera Roll (unless you do "Revert to original"); how do I go back to the original and create/save a new edit (e.g., a crop of a different detail), so I can have multiple "edits" saved, in addition to the original?

(Back in my Android days, the original would be retained, and each edit saved as a new image — so you could keep going back and creating new ones.)

Thanks.

Tap the share sheet and select duplicate.

The duplicate will retain its original state even if you duplicate from a cropped version. Then in the duplicate, tap edit, revert to original and create the new crop.
