iMac19,1, Big Sur 11.4: Opening Apple Books, I search for a pdf by portion of the title. All I get is the book store. Am I using Apple Books correctly? I don't want the dang book store. I thought the search in Apple Books will search my book library?

Did you tap on Library at the top versus Store? I'm able to find PDFs based on a partial title.

Tapping on Library does nothing in 11.4. There is no selection for what to search, unless I am missing it? But if I enter anything in the search its the stupid bookstore.

I’m also on 11.4. Here’s the precise steps I use that work:

1. Open Books and tap on Search.
2. Tap on Library in the upper part of the screen to the right of the Search bar under the Store, Window, and Help menus, not in the list down the left side.
3. Tap again in the Search bar and enter the partial title, and hit Enter. Depending on the search string, you may see results before hitting Enter.

Because Library search was already selected on my machine, it remembers the selection, so I can just type in the partial search phrase.

Thank you. Yes, we do have different colors, but I see the button to choose the library and not the store. Thank you for your help.
