I am a complete newcomer to iMovie - just never got around to archiving old tapes until now.
However, now I've used iMovie to upload ~140GB of video to my Mac off of, oh, a dozen tapes or so. The problem I have is that the tapes were not uploaded based on the time they were shot, and the tapes themselves have a mix of shoot dates in them.
What I would like to do is throw all the clips in one folder(right now, I've got one project per uploaded tape) and sequence the clips by date shot, which I know is encoded in the clip somewhere. Then I could break up the clips into time-based projects.
Does anyone know of any way to do this? Thanks in advance for any help! I just don't know how to get at the time codes without being in iMovie.
