How to set environment variables for GUI app

I want to set the PATH or other environment variables for GUI apps on Mac 10.10.4.
Any advices?

I know this says for the shell, but in theory if you add something to the PATH, it should be able to be used system wide.

Thanks for you reply. But sad to say that the GUI environment and shell environment is different in MAC system. So any suggestion?

Sad to say that not work for Mac 10.10.4.
