For my mac , i have 4 internal HardDrive and one external HardDrive

which are
1. OSX (system)
2. Work
3. Transfer
4. Storage
5. (external) Backup

Im trying to set a smart folder which only search my Work and Transfer HD

But i can't find any setting that i can exclude my OSX ,Storage and Backup HD.


Can anyone help me out?

You can use the privacy settings in Spotlight preferences to prevent folders and disks from being searched when you search for items on your computer.

  1. Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, click Spotlight, and then open the Privacy pane.
  2. Follow the instructions in the Privacy pane to create a list of folders and disks that should not be searched.
    All Spotlight searches will omit the items you specify.
Although it will effect some good function but still useful (ex. the function for searching address will been get off....)
