how to set up and what to use for motion detection

Imac mojave---want to set up and record -triggered by motion detection while in sleep mode...any easy practical way to do that...??? thanks all

I think you’d need to try and find a CCTV camera / recorder that can issue wake-on-LAN commands to a target device (i.e. your mac) with a trigger event such as motion occurs. Just depends on the specific functionality of those devices across many vendors I guess. Good luck searching!
