So I've got this Windows-Mac network thing down pat...my PC can read and write files on my Mac, and vice-versa. Life is good...

Except for one thing. How do I share an external FireWire volume with my Windows PC??? I can't seem to find any directions or instructions on ow to do that.

Hopefully someone here at macrumors is clever enough to figure out a way. Could an alias that points to the external drive be placed on the desktop? Too lazy to try that right now.

Nope. Aliases on either platform don't work — they just appear as a file on the other platform.
