Hi

I call my wife usually using FaceTime audio on Speaker. I can do this by asking Siri “call my wife on FaceTime Audio” but Siri does not activate Speaker.

Is there a way to program Siri so that each time I say “call wife” Siri places the following call:

(1) Calls my wife on
(2) FaceTime Audio
(3) using Speaker mode?

Thank you!

I believe FaceTime already using speaker phone?

if it is then it’s easy. Create a shortcut for facetime. Select your wife name on who to call. Name it “Call Wife”.

Voila.

you can also create a Home Screen button for this shortcut when you just don’t want to use Siri. I’m using this for this exact purpose and it’s a great feature to initiating call to my wife when I’m out and about and don’t want to invoke Siri.

Edit: scratches all that. You want FaceTime audio, not FaceTime. Doh…

Hi Matrix

Facetime Audio seems to call using iPhone itself rather than in Speaker mode. Any solution?

Can you or someone give a step-by-step instruction how to set up the correct shortcut pls?

Sadly shortcut at the moment isn't able to choose speaker. I want this for so long since I want a certain contact to be called via speakerphone but alas.. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Perhaps iOS 18 will remedy that.
