How to shred files?

Hello,

after the removal of the Safe empty bin, what is the best way to shred a file with an SSD hard drive? I am running El Capitain with 512 SSD.

click once on the file, hit command-option-delete, then select delete. gone, forever!

Just empty the trash bin. unlike hard drives, SSDs don't just delete the reference to the file but the actual file is removed. There's no need to securely delete a file on a SSD
