How to shrink trackpad in newer silicon M1/M2/M3 macOS Sonoma?

Hello!

I use external trackpad with and somehow always get accidental trackpad input.

Karabiner-Element seem to have a function to shrink the "trackpad" but I cant get it to work, do you guys have any solution for this?
